Angry youth storm police station after pregnant woman dies at lockdown check point in Ogun State

Angry youth in Ogun State storm police station on Thursday to stage a protest after a pregnant woman identified as Mr Opeoluwa Waidat Adedeji dies at police check point.

The protesting youth storm the divisional police station in Abigi divisional police station to blame the police for killing the pregnant mother of six.

The pregnant mother of six was in labour and was rushed to hospital for delivery by two men on bike when the police manning a check point at Sowore checkpoint refused her them to pass.

The police refused them to pass stating the reason due to ongoing COVID-19 curfew.

They however allowed them to pass after noticing the woman was bleeding seriously, Mrs Opeoluwa Waidat Adedeji however died before arriving the hospital.

These prompted the youth if the community to angrily storm the police station carrying the remains of the dead woman to  protest the death of the woman insisting that the police killed the woman.
