Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-rufai says insurance package for Covid-19 frontline workers is 5 million naira. He said the state is extraordinary care of it healthcare workers.
The occasion was the 24th platform was hosted by Poju Oyemade’s Covenant Nation Elrufai who spoke at the occasion said he infected people with Coronavirus and that the state has tested about 400 people, and now has three testing centres, from zero when the outbreak hit Nigeria.
He further stated that Kaduna state has 20 ICU bed
Kaduna state was the first state to implement lockdown in the country , about 20 intensive care unit beds at the beginning of the pandemic, with the entire country having less than 400.
If we record 1,000 case in Kaduna we won’t have space to treat them , We are building a 139-bed infectious disease hospital to be completed in the next eight weeks, we are building infectious diseases wards in each of our general hospitals in each of the 23 local governments. He said
We have received 169 Almajiri into the state from Kano and a hotel has been converted into an isolation center to treat almajiri, so far 21 of the almajiri has tested positive of Coronavirus.
