The African-German Network of Excellence in Science (AGNES)A networking organization that was developed to link scientists and scholars in Sub-Saharan Africa with one another and with scientists and scholars in Germany.

Founded in 2011 by 31 African and German Humboldtians and the Alexander von Humboldt representatives, the AGNES has been led by an interim committee up to 2014

These mobility Grant enable doctoral student from African countries to spend 1-3 month at a research institute in Africa after which complete program at Host University.

Benefits: Grant covers travel cost, Research allowance, research expenses.

Grant valued at €2300 and €3000 for 1-2 month of respective stay

Citizen of sub-saharan African can apply

Requirements: All Applicant must hold a bachelor degree equivalent to second class upper and a 75% Msc grade score

Applicant must demonstrate that their work reflect the need of sub-saharan Africa

Applicant must have publish academic publication

Applicant must be a currently registered PhD student in Host University

Deadline : March 31s 2020
